Para falar sobre Comunicação e a Realidade Nordestina, o programa Centro de Debates, no início dos anos 80, recebeu a professora e jornalista Adísia Sá e o também professor e jornalista Francisco Auto.

Adísia Sá é uma das fundadoras do curso de Comunicação Social da Universidade Federal do Ceará. Ela foi a primeira mulher a ocupar o cargo de ombudsman da imprensa cearense. Adísia é ainda autora do livro Capitu conta Capitu, sobre a personagem feminina Capitu, do romance Dom Casmurro, de Machado de Assis.

Francisco Auto Filho é, além de jornalista, professor de filosofia e o atual secretário da Cultura do Ceará.

Dentre outras coisas, eles debateram sobre o ponto de vista de ambos em relação a situação da comunicação no nordeste e a relação com os meios de comunicação de massa.

O programa foi mediado pelo jornalista, professor e atual diretor da Rádio Universitária FM Nonato Lima.
